Paul Kromwyk has specialized in investment banking and consulting activities for over 11 years, with a particular emphasis on executing mergers & acquisitions and financing transactions for both public and private companies.  Mr. Kromwyk has worked at a senior level in investment banking in both the U.S. and Australia and has advised both U.S. and international clients in a broad array of industries and product groups including financial institutions, media/entertainment, technology, consumer/retail, mining services, private equity and equity & debt capital markets.

Prior to joining Cappello, Mr. Kromwyk was a Senior Advisor for McCafferty & Company, an investment banking boutique in Los Angeles where he advised and raised capital primarily for clients in media/entertainment and technology industries. Prior to joining McCafferty, Mr. Kromwyk was based in Sydney, Australia where he worked for leading independent corporate advisor Caliburn Partnership as a Vice President. While at Caliburn, Mr. Kromwyk advised Australia’s leading corporations across a wide array of industries. Notable transactions included advising Westpac Banking Corporation, one of Australia’s largest retail banks, on its merger with St.George Limited, a deal valued at  A$17bn and Australia’s largest financial institutions M&A transaction; advising private equity firm Champ Ventures on its sale of portfolio company, Amdel Holdings Ltd; advising Westpac Banking Corporation on the A$780m initial public offering of investment management subsidiary BT Investment Management; and advising Mincom Limited, a software company, on its sale to US-based private equity buyer Francisco Partners.

Mr. Kromwyk began his investment banking career within the investment banking division of Credit-Suisse in New York. He was an Associate then Vice President within the Financial Institutions Group at Credit-Suisse executing financing and advisory transactions, including sell-side and buy-side advisory, IPOs, follow-on offerings and private placements for commercial banks, insurance companies, specialty finance, asset managers and brokerage companies.  Prior to Credit-Suisse, Mr Kromwyk began his professional career in Sydney, Australia as an Associate-Consultant with LEK Consulting, where he worked out of the Sydney, Milan and London offices on a range of strategic advisory and financial valuation projects for clients in various industry sectors and geographies, including: Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Italy, UK and Switzerland.

Education
Mr. Kromwyk received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He has also completed a combined Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) and a LLB (Hons) from the University of Queensland, Australia and was a winner of the University Medal. In addition, Mr. Kromwyk has completed several professional course subjects with the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), including “Mergers & Acquisitions.”

Personal
In his free time, Mr. Kromwyk enjoys road cycling, swimming, triathlons, mountaineering and travel. Mr. Kromwyk is also a member of the Los Angeles chapters of the American Australian Association and Advance and is active in the Los Angeles Australian community.
